The Song of Songs (Biblical Hebrew: שִׁיר הַשִּׁירִים‎, romanized: Shīr ha-Shīrīm), also called the Canticle of Canticles or the Song of Solomon, is the twenty-second book of the Old Testament, written by Solomon. The Song of Songs is an erotic love poem, between Solomon and one of his wives or betrothed, the Unnamed Shulamite. Using euphemistic language for sexual imagery, Songs narrates the intimate love between Solomon and his wife.
