Nathan-Melech was an official during the reign of Judah's king Josiah. Josiah removed horses that were dedicated to the sun by previous kings from the Temple. This was done near Nathan-Melech's court. After removing the horses, Josiah burned their chariots that were also dedicated to the sun.[1]
